Why it matters
Robots are deployed in workplaces, hospitals, public spaces and homes. ROZOR accepts responsibility for design, use and end-of-life — with human oversight, measurable targets and community partnership.

Our commitment
ROZOR develops and deploys robotics responsibly, in compliance with Canadian laws and regulations, with a focus on safety, ethical use, environmental stewardship, and respect for human rights.

What matters most

ROZOR’s Social Responsibility Committee oversees our policies, practices, and performance to ensure alignment with Canadian legal requirements, international standards, and community expectations.

1. Safety & Responsible Innovation

  • We apply a safety-first approach across the entire product lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and post-deployment monitoring.
  • Human oversight is required for safety-critical or high-impact robotic operations.
  • Our systems are designed and assessed in alignment with recognized standards commonly adopted in Canada, including:
    • ISO 10218 / ISO/TS 15066 – Industrial and collaborative robots
    • ISO 13482 – Service robots
    • IEC 61508 – Functional safety principles
    • Applicable CSA standards and provincial occupational health and safety requirements

2. Ethical Use of Robotics & Social Impact

  • ROZOR operates under a responsible use policy that evaluates proposed applications of our technology for safety, legality, and societal impact.
  • We reserve the right to decline projects that conflict with our ethical standards or legal obligations.
  • Our technology is intended to reduce human exposure to hazardous, repetitive, or unhealthy work environments while supporting productivity and job quality.
  • We support transparent dialogue with employers, regulators, and policymakers regarding responsible automation and workforce transition.

3. Privacy, Data Protection & Ethical AI

  • ROZOR complies with PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws governing the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of personal information.
  • Privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles are embedded into our systems.
  • Measures include:
    • Data minimization and purpose limitation
    • Consent management where personal data is collected
    • Encryption, access controls, and security testing
  • Where AI or automated decision systems are used, we apply principles of:
    • Transparency and explainability
    • Bias identification and mitigation
    • Human review for material decisions

4. Environmental Stewardship & Climate Responsibility

  • ROZOR is committed to reducing environmental impact in line with Canadian environmental laws and best practices.
  • Our approach includes:
    • Designing products for durability, repairability, reuse, and end-of-life recovery
    • Reducing energy use and emissions across operations and supply chains
    • Monitoring environmental performance and setting measurable improvement targets

8. Supply Chain Responsibility & Modern Slavery Compliance

  • ROZOR is committed to ethical sourcing and supply chain transparency.
  • In accordance with Canada’s Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act, we:
    • Assess risks of forced and child labour in our supply chains
    • Maintain supplier standards addressing labour rights and working conditions
    • Take reasonable steps to mitigate identified risks
  • Supplier compliance is reviewed through contractual requirements and assessments.

9. Governance, Accountability & Reporting

  • Oversight is provided by the Social Responsibility Committee, reporting to senior leadership.
  • We maintain documented policies covering ethics, safety, privacy, labour practices, and environmental responsibility.
  • ROZOR supports transparent reporting and periodic independent review of key social and environmental performance indicators.

  • Reduce product energy intensity by 30% within three years
  • Assess social and environmental compliance for a majority of direct suppliers within 24 months
