11. Regulatory Alignment & Compliance (HIPAA • FDA • MDR)

ROZOR designs systems for healthcare and commercial environments and aligns with applicable frameworks:

• HIPAA (U.S.): ROZOR systems are not designed by default to process Protected Health Information (PHI). We do not act as a Business Associate unless a BAA is executed.
• FDA (U.S.): Unless explicitly stated, ROZOR systems are not classified as medical devices and are not intended for diagnosis or treatment.
• MDR (EU): ROZOR aligns with MDR-adjacent best practices (risk management, safety-by-design) but our systems are generally not intended as medical devices under MDR unless designated.
• AI Readiness: We align with emerging AI regulations, including the EU AI Act, emphasizing human-in-the-loop controls.
• Customer Responsibility: Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with healthcare and safety laws in their specific deployment.
